Kodiak, a Collie Shepherd Mix, was the inspiration for the original Pets Choice. After he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Disease, his owners, Maddie & Ron, realized nutrition was the key to his well being and even his survival. After much research and discussion, they realized that most dog foods were full of fillers, artificial flavors, and colors with sub-standard ingredients. Their goal soon became to educate other owners and share the benefits of a healthy diet for their pets. Pets Choice opened in 1991 without much fanfare and in the middle of a recession, but over time it became known as a leading source for pet nutrition and wellness.
In 2008, Maddie & Ron retired after helping thousands of animals and their owners. Joe & Teresa became the new owners of Pets Choice and set out to continue the standards first put forward by the previous owners.
Pets Choice continues to be your neighborhood pet store. The focus is the overall wellbeing of your furry companions. That means natural, wholesome foods and treats, supplements for overall health or specific condition and enrichment activities to keep them happy and healthy throughout their lives.

Wonderful pet store. They have an amazing variety of everything you need for all kinds of pets. When my older cat would not eat food with crushed pills they suggested several options that worked. Very knowledgeable and helpful. You won’t find this at big box pet stores. I wish I had known about them years ago. Worth a drive to Merrimack, NH.
